Violations and fines
Report noise, parking and other rule violations with photos, and review them as the management: warn, fine or dismiss.
Owners, residents and tenants tell the management about rule violations in the complex, such as loud music at night, a car blocking the driveway or rubbish left in the hallway. The management reviews each report and warns or fines the unit it is about, or dismisses it.
Report a violation
Open Report a violation (under More on a phone, in the sidebar on a computer) and tap Report a violation.
- Pick a Category: Noise, Parking, Pets, Cleanliness, Damage or Other.
- Set When it happened. It starts at the current time and cannot be in the future.
- Describe What happened, in at most 2000 characters. Say where it happened and, if you know it, which apartment or unit. You do not pick the unit yourself: the management names it when it reviews the report.
- Tap Add photos to attach up to five photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, 10 MB each).
- Tap Send report.
Violation #13 reported. confirms it.
Follow your reports
My reports, on the same page, lists the reports you sent, the latest first, each with its number, category, when it happened and its status: Reported, Under review, Warning issued, Fined, Dismissed or Closed. Once the management names the unit or adds a note, you see them too. You never see the amount of a fine, and the unit’s owners never learn who reported them.
Review reports as the management
A Complex Admin opens Community › Violations. The table lists every report of the complex, with filters by status and category and a search by number or description. Tap a row to open the report: the unit, when it happened, who reported it, what they wrote, the photos and the history. If you own the unit the report is about, the reporter shows as Hidden.
The buttons show the next steps the report allows:
- Start review on a reported violation. You can name the unit it is about now or later.
- Issue warning, Fine or Dismiss once it is under review. A warning and a fine need the unit. A fine’s amount is in the complex’s currency (֏ by default); it is charged to the unit’s balance, and the unit’s owners are notified of the warning or the fine.
- Close after a warning, a fine or a dismissal. A closed report cannot be changed.
Each step takes an optional note of up to 1000 characters, which the reporter sees. A new note replaces the previous one, so the reporter sees the latest note only. You cannot decide a report you made yourself, or one about a unit you own.
