Bulk generator
Create many apartments, parking slots, storage rooms or houses in one step, with a live preview of every number before anything is created.
The bulk generator creates a complex’s units of one kind in one step. You set a few numbers, check the live preview, and confirm.
Who can use it
Sidebar › Bulk generator. It needs Edit units: a Complex Admin, or an Org or Global Admin inside the complex.
Kinds
A building offers Apartments, Parking and Storage rooms; a district offers Houses, Parking and Storage rooms.
| Kind | What you set |
|---|---|
| Apartments | How many, Starting number, Entrances, Floors, Units per floor, default area and rooms, the Numbering pattern and Skip 13 |
| Parking | How many, Starting number, Prefix (such as P-), the Levels or the Surface, the Slot type, a Zone, area and Monthly fee |
| Storage rooms | How many, Starting number, Prefix (such as S-), the Level, area and Monthly fee |
| Houses | The Streets, Houses per street, Starting number, lot size, area and Odd / even sides |
- Apartments are numbered Sequential (1, 2, 3), By floor (101, 102 on the first floor) or with an Entrance prefix (A-12). Skip 13 leaves out every number ending in 13.
- Missing entrances, floors and streets are created for you. For houses, pick existing streets or type new names.
- In a district, parking is on the surface and storage rooms are on no floor.
The live preview
The preview updates a moment after you stop typing. It shows the Total, the Total area when an area is set and, for apartments, the Skipped numbers, then every unit where it will go: apartments by entrance and floor, parking and storage by level, houses by street and side. While a value is out of range the preview waits; the form says what to fix.
Generate
Generate {n} units creates the units in the preview. It stays off while:
- more apartments are asked for than the entrances, floors and units per floor hold (Capacity is … units. Add floors, entrances or units per floor to fit …);
- parking or storage numbers are already used by other units of the complex.
If the complex already has units of this kind, you are asked Replace existing units? first. Archive and replace archives them with their history and creates the new ones; nothing is deleted. A toast confirms {n} units created with a link to the units table.
Import from CSV or Excel
Import CSV / Excel in the header brings in units you already keep in a spreadsheet, in three steps:
- Upload. Drop a
.csvor.xlsxfile, or click to choose one: at most 10 MB and 5000 rows. Download template gives you an Excel file with the right columns. A CSV must be UTF-8, separated by commas or semicolons. You can cancel an upload while it runs. - Map columns. Each column of your file is matched to a field: Number and Type are required; Block, Entrance, Floor, Street, area, rooms, the cadastral number, lot size and For rent are optional. Columns named like a field are matched for you; set the rest, or choose — Ignore column. Continue stays off while a required field has no column or two columns feed the same field.
- Validate. Every row is checked without saving anything: {v} rows ready · {e} rows need attention. Each row that needs attention lists its problems, such as an unknown entrance or a number already in use. Fix the file and upload it again, or Ignore those rows (or Ignore all). Import {n} rows turns on once every row that needs attention is ignored and at least one row is ready.
A toast confirms {n} units imported, {k} rows skipped, and the units table shows the new units. An import you leave for a day expires; start over with the file.
