Notification preferences
Choose, for each kind of update, whether you hear about it in the portal, by email, SMS, push or WhatsApp. Emergency alerts are always on.
Your notification preferences are your own. They are the same in every complex you belong to.
Where to find them
- As an owner or resident: Sidebar › Profile & notifications, the Notification preferences card.
- As a complex administrator: Settings › Notifications.
Choose what reaches you
Each row is a kind of update: Payments & invoices, Maintenance requests, Announcements, Votes & meetings, Chat messages, Visitors & parcels, Bookings, Community & violations and Meter readings. Each column is a channel: In-app, Email, SMS and Push.
Turn a switch on or off. It is saved at once, and Preferences saved confirms it. If the save fails, the switch goes back and the reason is shown.
Today your choice decides what reaches your notification list in the portal for every row, and which announcements you get by email, SMS and push. Email, SMS and push for the other rows will follow the same choices once those messages are sent.
Until you change them, you get:
- Payments in the portal, by email, by SMS and by push.
- Announcements, votes, bookings, community and meter readings in the portal, by email and by push.
- Maintenance requests, chat messages and visitors in the portal and by push.
WhatsApp is off for every row until you turn it on.
Emergency alerts are always on
The Emergency alerts row reads Always on. Your preferences never hold back an emergency alert: it reaches you on every channel the management sends it on. Nobody can turn them off.
SMS and WhatsApp
SMS and WhatsApp are paid from the messaging balance of the complex or its management company. While it is empty their switches are off and greyed out, and the info button next to the column says why. Your choice is kept and applies again once there is a balance.
WhatsApp is a column only after you agree to receive WhatsApp messages. Under the table, select Turn on WhatsApp and confirm with I agree. Messages go to the phone number on your profile. Select Turn off WhatsApp to stop them: your choices are kept for next time.
On a phone
On a phone each kind of update is a card with its channels underneath, so you can tap every switch without scrolling sideways.
