Getting started checklist
See how far a complex has got with its setup, do each step from one place, skip the ones you do not need and follow every complex of your organization.
Getting started lists what a new complex needs before it is ready for its owners. A new complex opens on it as soon as the wizard creates it. The portal checks each step against the complex’s data, so a step shows as done as soon as the work is done, wherever you did it.
The checklist
Open it from Getting started among the quick actions on the dashboard, from the card below them, or from the Setup chip in the header.
- The ring at the top counts the required steps done, for example 4 of 9 required steps.
- The steps are grouped by area: the complex profile, the property, the people, the finances. Each one says whether it is Done, To do or Skipped, whether it is required or recommended, and why it matters.
- The next step to take is highlighted.
Doing a step
- Do it opens the screen that does the step, with its form open: the bulk generator for the units or for parking and storage, the add form of the structure, the invitation of a new administrator with the complex already picked, the New owner form, or the late-fee form.
- Learn how opens the help panel with the guide for that step first.
- Come back to the checklist when you are done. It updates by itself, in every open tab.
Skipping a step
When a step does not apply, choose Skip and confirm. The step stays on the list as skipped and no longer counts as to do. Undo skip puts it back. A step that is done cannot be skipped.
Some steps belong to a role: only an Org Admin or the Global Admin assigns the complex administrators or adds the complex’s photo, so only they can skip those.
The card and the header chip
The dashboard shows a Getting started card with the progress and the next step, and until every required step is done the header shows the Setup chip with the percentage. On a phone the chip is left out and the card carries the progress.
- Choose Hide on the card to put both away. The choice is yours alone and applies to every complex.
- Once everything required is done, the card says All set! until you hide it.
- Show on home on the checklist brings the card and the chip back.
Every complex of an organization
An Org Admin opens Setup progress on the organization’s Complexes page. It lists each active complex with its progress and next step, and opens the complex’s own checklist.
