Invitations
The only way into an existing organization or complex: a single-use link, valid for 14 days, that creates an account or adds a role.
An invitation is a single-use link for one email address. It either creates a new account or adds a role to the account the email already has. It is the only way to join an existing organization or complex.
Who sends invitations
Today, administrators invite administrators: the Global Admin invites organization and complex admins, and an Org Admin invites complex admins of their organization; see Administrators. Owners and residents are invited from Owners and residents; invitations for staff come later.
What the invitation contains
The email, in the language the sender chose, names who invited you and the role. The page it opens shows the complex, the role, who invited you and, for an administrator, every complex it covers.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Sent and waiting to be accepted. |
| Accepted | Used; the role is active. |
| Expired | Not accepted within 14 days. |
| Revoked | Withdrawn by an administrator before it was accepted. |
A pending invitation becomes accepted, expired or revoked, and never goes back.
Rules
- Valid for 14 days, and works once.
- Only the invited email can accept it. A person signed in with another account is refused.
- A new account needs a full name, a password of at least 8 characters with a number, and a preferred language.
- An existing account accepts it while signed in, and the new role appears in the context switcher.
