Renovation rules and deposits

When owners may do renovation works, the house rules they follow, the deposit charged when a permit is approved, and breaches recorded as violations.

This part of the portal is planned and not built yet. The article describes what is planned, so you know what to expect. Planned under #744

This part of the portal is planned. Here is what it will do.

What is planned

  • Works hours. The hours renovation works are allowed, separately for weekdays, Saturday and Sunday. A day without hours allows no works.
  • House rules. The rules owners follow during works, such as noise, building waste and the common areas, in English and optionally in Armenian and Russian.
  • Files for some works. Some kinds of works, such as walls or the façade, can require plans or photos with the request.
  • Deposit. An amount charged to the unit when a permit is approved. When the works are completed, the management returns all of it, part of it (the rest is charged as damage) or none of it, with a note saying why. A request withdrawn after approval gets its deposit back.
  • Breaches. A breach of the rules during works in progress, or found after they are completed, is recorded as a violation about the unit, linked to the request. Another manager then warns or fines as for any violation.

Owners read the rules; Complex Admins, Board members and Org or Global Admins inside the complex edit them.

In the Getting started checklist

The recommended Set the renovation rules step of the Getting started checklist is done once the rules have been saved.
