Switch contexts

Work as a Global Admin, an Org Admin, a complex's staff or an owner from one account, and move between them in the header.

One account can hold several roles: for example, the admin of an organization who also owns an apartment in one of its complexes. The portal shows one context at a time, the role and place you are working in, and the sidebar changes with it.

The four kinds of context

  • Platform: the Global Admin’s view of every organization and complex.
  • Organization: an Org Admin’s view of their organization and its complexes.
  • Complex (staff): the day-to-day work of one complex, for its admins and staff.
  • Complex (owner): your own units in a complex, as an owner or resident. These pages are coming soon.

Pick a context

The context switcher is at the left of the header. It shows your role and the place, such as Global admin · All complexes or Building admin · Arabkir Residence. On a phone it shows only the place.

  1. Select the context switcher. Your contexts opens: a list on the desktop, a sheet from the bottom on a phone.
  2. The list is grouped under Platform, Organizations and Complexes, with your roles next to each entry. The current one has a check mark.
  3. Select the context you want. An organization can be expanded to open one of its complexes as its admin.

With more than eight entries a search field appears: type part of a name to find it. With only one context the switcher is a plain label.

What happens when you switch

The portal stays in the same section if the new context has it, such as moving from one complex’s Units to another’s, and otherwise opens the new context’s first page. The sidebar, the pages and your permissions follow the new context. The portal remembers your last context and opens it next time.

Archived places

An archived organization or complex drops out of the list. If you expected one and it is missing, ask your administrator.
